Welcome to the Annual Faculty Aviation Moot Court—our flagship advocacy event designed to test the mettle of aspiring aviation lawyers!
"Advocacy in aviation requires not just a knowledge of the law, but an understanding of the skies." – Hon. Justice N. N. Onnoghen
Competition Structure
The moot court simulates proceedings before an international arbitral tribunal. Participants will be tasked with resolving complex cross-border aviation disputes, touching on:
- Liability for air accidents under the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions.
- Disputes arising from aircraft wet and dry lease agreements.
- Regulatory compliance and airspace sovereignty issues.
Participants will present their arguments before a panel of distinguished legal scholars and industry experts.
